At EmilyDiana Collective, we believe meaningful progress begins with understanding the individual learner.
Our work combines evidence-based educational support with strong relationships, thoughtful collaboration, and a personalized approach. Whether we are working with a child, teen, young adult, or family, our goal is to provide the right level of support while building confidence, independence, and skills that extend beyond each session.
Our Story
EmilyDiana Collective was founded by Emily Franks, M.Ed., Educational Therapist, as a boutique educational therapy and consulting practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles.
Rooted in structured literacy, individualized instruction, and close collaboration with families and schools, the practice was built around a simple belief: every learner deserves support that reflects their unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
As the needs of our families grew, so did the practice. What began as individualized educational therapy evolved into a collaborative team of educational therapists, learning specialists, academic tutors, coaches, and other professionals who bring different areas of expertise to the students and families we serve.
Today, EmilyDiana Collective provides educational therapy, academic tutoring, executive function coaching, homeschool support, school placement consulting, parent coaching, and additional individualized services across the South Bay.
We support clients from our Hermosa Beach office, on select school campuses, virtually, and in other settings when appropriate.
Philosophy
No two learners are the same, and we don't believe their support should be either.
We take time to understand each individual's learning profile, strengths, challenges, and goals before determining what meaningful support should look like. Our team combines evidence-based instruction with practical strategies and strong relationships to help clients make progress while becoming more confident and independent.
Collaboration is also an important part of our approach. When appropriate, we work closely with parents, teachers, schools, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals so the people supporting a student are working toward shared goals.
Whether we're strengthening foundational reading skills, helping a student manage academic demands, guiding a family through an educational decision, or supporting a young adult through a transition, our approach remains personalized, thoughtful, and grounded in each client's individual needs.
What Makes Us Different
Boutique & Personalized
We intentionally maintain a focused caseload so our team can provide highly individualized support and meaningful communication with families. Services may take place at our Hermosa Beach office, on select school campuses, virtually, or in other settings when appropriate.
Collaborative
Learning doesn't happen in isolation. When helpful, we collaborate with families, teachers, schools, and allied professionals to better understand the whole learner and create greater consistency across settings.
Evidence-Based
Our instruction and recommendations are informed by research in literacy, learning, cognition, and executive functioning. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all program, we select strategies and approaches based on each individual's needs.
