Educational Therapy

Hand Holding Branch

We provide 1:1 Educational Therapy for neurodivergent and neurotypical students in grades K–8. Sessions are delivered by certified educational therapists through the Association of Educational Therapists (AET).

Educational therapy supports students in building the underlying cognitive, academic, and executive functioning skills that impact learning. Sessions are highly individualized and may include targeted intervention in areas such as reading, writing, math, organization, attention, and self-regulation.

This service is ideal for students who:

  • Have learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, or Anxiety

  • Struggle with foundational academic skills or processing challenges

  • Need support beyond traditional tutoring to build confidence and independence

The Process

Phase 1

Gather Information

Emily has an intake call with parents, as well as discussions with professionals on the student's team (as applicable).

Phase 2

Gather Data

We administer diagnostic assessments. These target areas such as: decoding, comprehension, fluency, written expression, spelling, math, executive functioning and auditory processing. Additionally, Emily examines qualitative and quantitative data from outside sources.

Phase 3

Develop an Individual Treatment Plan

We analyze all data sources to develop a treatment plan that outlines the student’s strengths, areas of need, and goals for instruction. This plan can be shared with parents and professionals on the students’ team.

Phase 4

Ongoing Communication

& Reflection

We continue to monitor progress and communicate with the students team to best serve the student.
