Process and Services
School & Curriculum Consulting
Phase 1
Gather Quality Data
Demographic School and Community Profile
Emily investigates the school’s demographic, contextual, and student achievement data to discover what is working, how well it works, and what
is not.
Phase 2
Analyze Data
Needs Assessment Summary Report
Emily analyzes data to diagnose, monitor, and evaluate progress at the school level to drive short- and long-range planning and provide reliable information about program strengths, weaknesses, and effects on target student populations that can be used to recommend and implement changes in literacy instruction.
Phase 3
Set Learning Goal(s)
Two-Year Literacy Improvement Plan
Emily uses the needs assessment and her collaboration with the literacy team and administration to identify 2 to 3 goal areas to propel the literacy learning environment to higher levels of achievement for all students.
Phase 4
Ongoing Learning & Reflection
The two-year planning grid details communication, collaboration, and the professional learning needed to implement the plan effectively. It is here where Emily can administer effective professional learning, adult learning theory, and best practices to plan, implement, and evaluate your professional learning.
Monitoring and Adjusting
Educational consultants typically remain engaged with the school throughout the implementation of the 3-year plan. Regular monitoring and assessment of progress against the established goals are conducted. Adjustments to the plan may be recommended based on evolving educational trends, student needs, or external factors affecting the school.
